Uncle Roger was one of my favourite uncles.  I loved his infectious smile and his irreverent jokes.

My lasting memories are both Christmas related.

We had wonderful, fun Christmases at Uncle Roger's and Auntie Olive's with Jackie, Chris & Nicky.  There was always a feast of food on the table & lots of games played.  We kids would roll around the floor on the sheepskin rug, in front of the fire, whilst Uncle Roger tried to tempt the adults with his Snowball cocktails - They were the best of times.

In more recent times, Uncle Roger and Jenny would alternate with my parents, to host a pre-Christmas get together.  There was lots of chat; a lot of reminiscing; and somehow he never seemed to lose the art of telling a good story.

Rest in peace Uncle Roger - I will miss you xxx
